Here’s our interview with Without A Map. Without A Map is a rock band with a classic sound from Philadelipha. Their influenced by bands such as Led Zeppelin and The Beatles. The band consists of three members: Jack Nicolleti, Ben Marder, and Benji Elkins.
What’s your favorite part about making music? What are your goals within the music industry?: “Our favorite part about making music is the sheer rush we get when we can perform live. There’s no feeling quite like playing in front of a crowd, and more importantly, getting the crowd into it. Due to corona, we, unfortunately, have been unable to perform live and so our current favorite part about making music is song writing and recording the new songs. We love finding inspiration from unexpected places; Ben and Jack wrote a song for the new album called R.C.L. (Regular Cult Leader) after they binged the entire Waco series in one sitting. Our goals within the music industry is to share our music with as many people as possible.”
Which artists have had an influence on your music? Who’s music would you compare yours to?: “Our sound comes from a lot of distinct influences. Jack comes from a very classic rock background listening to bands like Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix. Ben is heavily inspired by pop punk bands of the early 2000’s such as Green Day and The Offspring. Benji’s influences, such as The Beatles and Jack Johnson, span many decades but ultimately all use music as a means to convey emotions. When you combine all of these elements together, you get a Without A Map song. Lately we’ve been embracing the more modern side of music by experimenting with different instrumentation and different production techniques. You can hear this new sound in our upcoming single Change the Tide which released on all streaming platforms on July 20th.”
What are you working on right now? What should readers go listen to?: “Right now we are working on recording our second album which is set to release later this summer. Until then we will be releasing a few more singles to keep our fans engaged. As far as what readers should go listen to our first Parallels released in March and our new single Change the Tide dropped on July 20th. All of our is music is available on all streaming platforms. We are most active on our instagram @withoutamap.music and if anyone wants to get in contact with us feel free to dm us on Instagram or email is at firstname.lastname@example.org.”
